Dani Yogatama – Deep Mind 

Title: “Structured sequential models”

Bio: Dani Yogatama is a senior research scientist at DeepMind and an assistant professor at Stony Brook University (on leave). He received his PhD from the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to CMU, he was a Monbukagakusho fellow at the University of Tokyo. His research interests include machine learning, large-scale optimization, and applications to natural language processing.

Guillaume Lample – Facebook AI Research / CMU

Title: “Unsupervised Machine Translation Using Monolingual Corpora Only”

Bio: Guillaume joined Facebook AI Research as a Resident PhD student in August 2016. He is advised by Marc’Aurelio Ranzato (Facebook) and Ludovic Denoyer (UPMC/LIP6). He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2016, where he was working under the supervision of Chris Dyer. Before that, he received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mathematics from École Polytechnique in France.
